DMV and Essex County Partner to Service the Community


Tappahannock, VA DMV has made it easier to connect their online services during the COVID-19 Pandemic, but Virginians and Essex County residences still need in-person service. DMV Connect is a portable service that travels the state to provide convenient service at locations such as libraries, government centers, colleges, and military bases.

Essex County’s Commissioner of the Revenue, Tommy Blackwell and his team arranged for the DMV mobile service to come to Essex County at the Old Beale Sanctuary located on 202 S. Church Lane, Tappahannock, from November 16-19, 2020. The mobile service visits are by appointment only within the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., closed for lunch between 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
